Well, the 3rd (at least I think it’s the third) snow/ice storm hit this weekend! I forgot about the weather up here, but that’s ok. Watching the snow fall on Saturday was incredible. I can actually get the pickup out today, too, because the snow provides a bit of traction on the ice. Plus, we didn’t lose power or anything like that. A blown out pilot light for the water heater is the only damage from the past two storms. I’d say we did just fine.
Things in Tulia are hoppin’. Finally seems like we’re really getting back in the groove of the routine. The exciting thing now, church wise, is our exploration of the “missional church” model. I highly recommend studying this model and its impacts on church life these days. Milfred Minatrea’s Shaped by God’s Heart is a good place to begin.
Picture/Internet update: The snow hampered a trip to Best Buy this weekend, but I still have plans for the promised digital pics. Also, broadband is coming to the parsonage! Shannon got called out to sub today, so the UPS may have already passed us by for today. Oh well. We’ll get that modem!!
