Well, the flu bug bit in full force this weekend. I was ready to go to the BGCT and WHAM! It always seems to happen on Sunday, too. I did make it through the sermon, though–then straight to bed for two days. Oh well. I am thankful, though, to hear that the BGCT seemed to go well. I’m sad to hear of the misuse of funds, but we can move on.
Good news…we officially launched the church website. Check out www.fbctulia.org. We are still updating and this website is in its infancy. Yet, check us out anyway. We’ll be updating and updating over the upcoming weeks.

Follow the link at the left to baptiststandard.com for information regarding the news concerning misappropriation of funds by the BGCT. This story broke in newspapers in the area yesterday. I’ve followed the fray for a couple weeks now, and this news should make for debate (hopefully as peaceful as possible) at the Dallas convention. I would encourage you to remain informed by reading the report on the Baptist Standard website. At this time, I would rather steer clear of any responses regarding this news on my blog in an effort to remain positive and impartial. There will be plenty of time to talk about it in Dallas.
In other news, our church’s website should be launching around November 11 or so. This is an exciting thing!
