Finally, an update! It’s Friday morning, so I have just a moment to update things from Tulia.
Simply put, we’re very busy but having a good time getting used to the church and to the community. There are many irons in the fire, right now.
Currently, all the busyness stems from the pace of life here–sermon prep, hospital visits, meetings, etc. This is easy to tolerate, though. I enjoy these activities. One of our committees is working on updating the “look” of our church. We’re preparing welcome packets, a welcome center, developing a new logo–things to show folks that we’re on the move. In a couple of weeks, we will be headed to Dallas for the BGCT annual meeting. I hope to see many friends there and go to some good workshops. This will be a good “working vacation” if there is such a thing–simply a time to rejuice a bit and let someone else do the talking. We are also continuing the search for a music minister, but our interim is doing a great job. Finally, we’re working on a website for the church, and it should not be too long before we officially post; just have to work some kinks out.
Hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully, I’ll get a moment to post from the BGCT. I’m thinking about ways to put sermons online as well–maybe through a podcast. It will take some time, though.
